Sexual Bullying
Sexist and sexual bullying can affect anyone, regardless of their own gender. Boys may be victims as well as girls, and victims can also be targeted by people of their own gender.
Gender based bullying is most commonly experienced by young people who do not conform to gender stereotypes, where it often looks like homophobia.

- References to a persons attractiveness, appearance or emerging puberty
- Using sexual words in a negative way e.g. referring to a person’s promiscuity
- Innuendo’s and propositions
- Making threats or jokes about serious and frightening subjects like rape
- Touching someone in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable
- Touching oneself in an inappropriate way
- Forcing someone to act in a sexual way
